Here’s a question that I have been meaning to ask but keep forgetting.
Were there any thoughts about using buttons from existing console to maybe keep costs down? To an outsider, it would seem like a good idea to use GBA/DS d-pad and buttons for example.

Are those more accessible then custom 3d printed parts? Which can be ordered I would imagine easily enough.

I would say so, yes. A quick search on eBay for example turns up plenty of GBA buttons for example in a wide range of colours.
Did not know that. That’s awesome!
@jonne has mentioned several times that the rubber back buttons are from the GBA, so there would have been thought given to the possibility of using already existing front buttons too…
