Wow! The separation looks much clearer now.

I think I will reduce the number of color shades. It does not look retro enough for me :wink:

256 colors are waaaay too many!

It’s looks very nice and retro to me. It reminds me of some old green crt monitor.

But what about some real gameplay :wink:

You’be surprised the detail you can have with just 16 colours anyway.

Do you mean a fixed palette (like pico-8) or an optimized palette?

Both, most of the games i worked on for Pokitto were using the pico8 palette. Weirdly enough the only time i used a bigger palette was on my pine 2k games, and even there i only used a few colours.

I like the “retro” one a bit more, however is it possible to make the ground more red and less pink?
