I was doing something completely unrelated when I stumbled upon an interesting article about an “astronomy instrumentation engineer” who has created a mobile phone with an old-fashioned rotary dial as its primary interface.

Personally I’m also very anti-smartphone (I still use a flip-phone),
but even I’m not quite that crazy (or resourceful) so I really have to applaud the effort.

That’s awesome, I love rotary phones the one in my old kitchen was rotary until like 2014 I saved it but the ex threw it away.

Remember the handsets that looked like old desk phones I liked those but they didn’t have rotary dials.
